I'm a 3D Environment Art student, currently enrolled in my last year at Breda University (formerly known as NHTV).
With my work I like to convey my passion for creating props and environments with a story. Next to modeling and PBR texturing I like to work with level design and lighting to support my environment art skills.
During each project, or gamejam, I push myself to reach a higher standard within my soft and hard skills, which has led me to have a wide skill set and a team oriented mindset.
I participated in the debut of Microsoft Game Camp in Sweden. This was an initiative of the Sweden Game Arena and Microsoft, in which they gave the opportunity for game developers to pitch and create ideas for the, back then, un-released Xbox One.
During this time I learned to work with new technology, NDAs, communication with AAA developers, and leading a project from the ground up.
I started working for Watermelon Games as a 2D artist, but as my skills progressed, and I learned more within the company, I was eventually tasked to oversee the artistic vision of the overall projects.
Watermelon Games was a starting videogame company that specialized in 2D puzzle platform games. During my time here I learned a lot about teamwork, the 2D workflow, and adapting to a life abroad.
During my internship at the University of Skövde I worked on 2 projects;
'Elin's Mysterium' for the municipality of the city. I worked on 2D UI related assets. The game is released on the App Store and is meant as a guiding game for throughout the city itself.
'The Donna project', which is a project that encourages women to join the game industry by hosting events and informing prospective students. I worked as a graphic designer.
My main learning points for this internship were what it was like to work with a deadline, dependencies, stakeholders/clients, and what it is like to release a product.
I am currently enrolled in the Visual Art course at BUAS (formerly known as NHTV) and am in my 4th year.
In this course I am specializing in 3D Environments, with a focus on worldbuilding and prop modeling.
